I’m a 27-year-old hiker, rock climber, and PhD candidate who also deals with chronic pain. I started this blog because I tend to find myself straddling worlds and feeling out of place in all of them. A lot of my fellow athletes don’t deal with the same pain and issues that I do, and don’t have to think about the same kinds of things. But many people with chronic illness, fellow spoonies, aren’t able to be as active as I have been fortunate enough to be able to remain. So I decided to write the kind of blog I was looking for, about trying to stay active and doing the things I love while not destroying my body or putting myself in so much pain I can’t function.
